Open House at 3D Global

Today, 3-D views are state of the art in many areas. In practice, however, the natural viewing experience is often compromised by distracting accessories. In stereo microscopy, the forced body position at the eyepieces can become very uncomfortable over time. Also, various solutions involving 3D glasses or virtual reality masks are often found to be restrictive during prolonged use. The novel screen technology developed by 3D Global is now intended to free the user from any restrictions. According to the manufacturer, users can perform tasks in a comfortable, relaxed posture and view the work area on the screen in a natural way. The most convincing way to do this is to experience it for yourself: 3D Global is therefore inviting customers, partners and people interested in technology to an open day to see for themselves and test the technology.

The manufacturer’s technology for glasses-free 3-D displays is based on modifying image signals from two stereoscopic sources – such as cameras, microscopes, computer systems or game consoles – via a special filter so that the viewer sees a photorealistic, flicker-free 3-D image. Using a special device to detect the position of the eye, the filter is always readjusted so that the stereoscopic signals are optimally merged. The user can therefore change his position in front of the screen without any loss of image quality. According to the manufacturer, the link with visualization interfaces of leading CAD/CAM and design programs has also been realized.

The open house will be held on June 16 and 17, 2023, in Aalen, Robert-Bosch-Str. 33.
