28 Nov Jenoptik strengthens photonics expertise on the executive board
Effective January 1, 2023, Dr. Ralf Kuschnereit will be appointed to Jenoptik‘s Executive Board. He heads the Advanced Photonic Solutions division and is a member of the Executive Management Committee at Jenoptik.
Kuschnereit holds a doctorate in physical chemistry and has many years of management experience in various functions. He started his professional career at Carl Zeiss in the field of photolithography development and was subsequently Head of the Ophthalmic Systems Division and President and CEO of Carl Zeiss Meditec in Dublin, USA. Kuschnereit has held an executive position at Jenoptik since 2017.
The Supervisory Board has also appointed Dr. Prisca Havranek-Kosicek as the new Chief Financial Officer. Havranek-Kosicek will take over the position from Hans-Dieter Schumacher, who did not renew his contract expiring on March 31, 2023, with effect from April 1, 2023. Havranek-Kosicek holds a doctorate in business administration and has many years of experience as Chief Financial Officer at several listed companies.
Matthias Wierlacher, Chairman of Jenoptik’s Supervisory Board, said, “With the appointment of Dr. Kuschnereit, we are strengthening our extensive photonics expertise at Executive Board level.” Dr. Havranek-Kosicek also brings extensive international financial experience to the Executive Board, Wierlacher continues. The Jenoptik Executive Board around Chairman Dr. Traeger is thus well positioned to successfully drive the company’s further development as a global optics and photonics player, according to the Supervisory Board Chairman.
