Improved spectrometer for UV, VIS and NIR

The AvaSpec-ULS2048XL+ is the latest addition to the SensLine spectrometer series from Avantes. According to the manufacturer, the spectrometer is engineered for exceptional sensitivity and efficiency across the ultraviolet (UV), visible (VIS), and near-infrared (NIR) ranges. The device incorporates large monolithic pixels measuring 14 µm ×500 µm and a back-thinned CCD detector. Its compact dimensions are 175 x 127 x 44.5 mm3 and the weight is 1.18 kg. The spectrometer is available in two versions: The standard model which is equipped with a replaceable slit for customizable throughput and resolution. And the OEM version, using an industrial stainless steel, electromagnetic-compatible housing for seamless integration into existing systems.
Avantes names key features of the AvaSpec-ULS2048XL+ such as enhanced sensitivity in UV and NIR. Ultra-fast integration times as low as 2 microseconds and communication via USB 3.0 and Gigabit Ethernet for real-time results. Improved Image Lag Reduction: The upgraded design reduces image lag by down to one tenth compared to the previous model.
Also, its detector collection lens further enhances sensitivity, while improved electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) shielding should ensure consistent performance in diverse applications in laboratory and industrial settings.
Applications include for example biomedical fluorescence detection, environmental pollutant analysis, and quality control in agriculture and food production.
