07 Oct Protective helmets for hand-held laser welding
Optrel, the Swiss manufacturer of protective products for conventional welding, and the laser protection manufacturer Laservision from Fürth, Germany, have formed a partnership for the safe use of hand-held laser welding equipment. The partners launched three customized welding safety helmets on the market: the Panoramaxx Laser Series models Panoramaxx Hybrid clt, Panoramaxx Hybrid and Panoramaxx L with and without fresh air supply. According to the partners, these automatically dimming laser welding safety helmets offer full eye protection for both hand-held laser welding and conventional arc welding. Only the Panoramaxx L is a passive helmet and is only suitable for hand-held laser welding. In addition to their protective function, the helmets are designed to be very comfortable to wear.
