High-performance white LEDs for industrial lighting

Rutronik is expanding its portfolio of LEDs with the Oslon Square Horti White GWCSSRM4.HW from ams Osram with 2 W and 392 lm. It is reportedly the first component from ams Osram to be classified according to photon flux density at +85 °C. The aim is to achieve a better match with typical operating temperatures, which should make it easier for system developers to carry out complex calculations. In contrast to conventional white LEDs, the use of a customised phosphor solution ensures improved effectiveness. According to the supplier, the customised phosphor solution used in the GW CSSRM4.HW enables an increase in unconverted red photons, which increases effectiveness. The brightness of the LEDs has therefore increased by 2 % compared to the previous model, according to the supplier. The high-performance LEDs are installed in robust SMD ceramic housings with silicone lenses and have a low thermal resistance. The operating temperature is -40 °C to + 125 °C.
The LEDs are available in four colour bins and two versions: GWCSSRM4.HW-SHSM-H1H2-1-700-R3 and GWCSSRM4.HW-SJSM-H3H4-1-700-R3.
