Extended integration support

Scanlab, a manufacturer of high-end laser scanning systems, is partnering to ensure minimal integration effort for its XL Scan micromachining system. Its newest integration partner, Turner Laser Systems, based in Silicon Valley, USA, now offers turnkey, customised machine and process development support in the USA.
The XL Scan micromachining system, co-developed with ACS Motion Control, allows workpieces of virtually unlimited size to be machined through the synchronised combination of a 2D scanning head and an XY positioning stage, with the scanner and two axes in continuous action during laser machining, according to the company. Scanlab works with selected partners who have a particularly deep understanding of the interaction between lasers, control technology, optics and their use in micromachining. These partners are familiar with the XL Scan and ensure smooth integration into production systems.
According to Scanlab, Busch Microsystems offers the integration service throughout Europe. A technical support centre has been set up in South Korea in collaboration with Presto Solution. The offer will range from technical sales advice, demos and individual application tests in its own laser laboratory to commissioning and on-site service at the customer’s premises. According to Scanlab, Turner Laser Systems is now completing its global support offering with turnkey solutions and process development support in its own application laboratory. All partners base their service offering on the technology partnership with ACS Motion Control and software provider Direct Machining Control (DMC).
