11 Sep Framos builds campus in Croatia
On September 6, 2023, machine vision specialist Framos began construction of its high-tech campus in Čakovec, Croatia. According to the company, the new building will comprehensively expand its manufacturing capacities as well as its offering around logistics services.
As the application areas for imaging technologies continue to expand – ranging from medicine and agriculture to autonomous vehicles, smart city technologies and home appliances – Framos sees the right time now for this substantial investment.
According to Framos, the new building has an area of approximately 3500 square meters and is intended to be flexibly expandable for future needs. Framos says that it will invest more than 6 million euros for this purpose within the next 3 years. In the first phase, the new campus will provide space for 150 employees.
Sustainability and reduced CO2 emissions
According to Framos, the new campus has been designed in accordance with the highest standards of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). The DGNB defines best practices for environmental, economic and social sustainability in the construction industry. In accordance with DGNB criteria, environmentally friendly building materials will be used and reliance will be placed on energy-efficient, renewable energy sources. The company plans to move to the campus by the end of 2024.
