13 Jun New CEO at TroGroup
Norbert Schrüfer (63) is retiring as CEO of the TroGroup, but will continue to accompany the Laser Systems Division Trotec as COO. Bernd Badurek (48), currently CEO of the Sinter Division at Miba, will take over as CEO of the TroGroup on October 1, 2023.
Badurek has held various management positions at Miba in Laakirchen since 2007, including being responsible for the Asia Pacific business unit at the Suzhou site in China as well as the BRIC and France / Italy business units for several years, says the company. From 2014 to 2020, he led Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Program Management as Managing Director and CSO, before being appointed CEO of the Miba Sinter Division in 2020. “Together with CFO Peter Köstler, he will lead the TroGroup in the future and continue to drive forward important strategic issues,” said owner representatives Christopher Müller and Georg Eder.
Badurek now assumes responsibility for three TroGroup divisions. At the beginning of the year, in addition to Trodat (stamps) and Trotec (laser systems), a new division for laser sources was formed with Iradion, which, according to the company, is to be expanded into the strong third pillar of the group. In the fiscal year 2021, the TroGroup achieved sales of 289 million euros with around 1970 employees.
