06 Jul Laserline expands R&D facilities
Laserline is expanding its headquarters in Mülheim-Kärlich near Koblenz, Germany. According to the company, the project includes a new two-story production hall with approximately 3,250 m² of floor space as well as a separate two-story office building providing around 1,300 m² of modern workspace. The expansion will also optimize the existing site layout. The additional capacity will allow the company’s application laboratories, where customer-specific processes and material compositions are tested, to be consolidated in a single location. This will free up space in the existing buildings for fundamental technology research and development.

According to Laserline, the expansion is intended to further integrate research, development and industrial applications as part of the company’s long-term growth and investment strategy. “Our investment in expanding our headquarters is a clear commitment to our roots and to our employees,” said Laserline founder Dr. Christoph Ullmann. Co-founder Volker Krause added: “We are growing steadily, and the new facilities provide the infrastructure we need to maintain our position as a technology leader in industrial diode lasers while remaining an attractive and secure employer in the region.” Laserline currently employs around 400 people worldwide, including approximately 300 at its German headquarters.
