According to the analysts, advances in 3D cameras and machine vision software are among the key growth drivers. At the same time, demand for precise inspection and quality-control processes is expected to rise across many industries. Applications for autonomous driving and automated bin picking are also gaining importance, according to Interact Analysis.
The logistics sector is expected to be particularly dynamic. Increasing automation in warehouses, sorting facilities and distribution centers is driving demand for machine vision systems. According to the analysts, the market volume in this segment could nearly double by 2030, growing from USD 494 million to USD 898 million. Key applications include autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and bin-picking systems. Despite the strong growth in logistics, the electrical and electronics industry is expected to remain the largest market for machine vision systems. Here, market volume is projected to increase from USD 742 million to nearly USD 1.1 billion.
Regional Growth Worldwide
Interact Analysis expects the Asia-Pacific region (excluding Japan) to record the strongest growth in industrial machine vision between 2025 and 2030, with an average annual growth rate of 8.1%. Japan is forecast to grow by 6% per year. The EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) recorded the lowest growth rate in 2025 at 0.8%, although this was still better than originally forecast. For 2026, the analysts expect a recovery, with growth reaching 3.9%.
Impact of Tariffs
According to Interact Analysis, the tariffs introduced in early 2025 had only a limited impact on the industry. While some of the additional costs were passed on to customers through higher prices, demand remained largely stable.
