09 Apr Spectaris Photonics reappoints Müller and adds two board members
The Photonics Association within the German industry association Spectaris has elected a new board. Maik Müller of Nynomic was confirmed in his role as Chairman, while Andrzej Grzesiak of Schott and Oliver Haupt of Coherent LaserSystems were newly appointed to the board. According to the association, the expanded leadership team strengthens its industrial breadth and reinforces its ambition to represent the photonics sector across key value chains with a unified voice.
The board will now comprise Ramona Eberhardt (Fraunhofer IOF), Andrzej Grzesiak (Schott), Oliver Haupt (Coherent LaserSystems), Martin Hovestadt (Jüke Systemtechnik), Agnes Hübscher (Edmund Optics), Katrin Kobe (Bosch Quantum Sensors), Christian Korth (Carl Zeiss Spectroscopy), Maik Müller (Nynomic), Thomas Renner (Toptica Photonics), Jan Schubach (POG) and Thilo von Freyhold (Jenoptik).
“Particularly in light of growing geopolitical and technological challenges, photonics requires strong representation,” said Maik Müller, highlighting the association’s role in the current environment. With its broadly based board, the association believes it is well positioned to represent the interests of the industry effectively toward policymakers and the public.
The election took place during the Spectaris Industry Day hosted by Coherent LaserSystems in Göttingen. In addition to insights into industrial applications, the event focused on professional exchange and networking within the photonics community.
