Two new 65-megapixel cameras expand the Baumer portfolio of high-resolution and robust 10 GigE cameras of the LX series. Thanks to the integrated EF mount, EF lenses from Canon can be adjusted via Baumer-GAPI, Baumer-neoAPI or third-party software in order to dynamically adapt focus and aperture to applications. External accessories and their cabling can be dispensed with completely. Applications with changing working distances and lighting conditions, such as track-and-trace in pharmaceutical logistics, benefit most from dynamic lens control.

In addition to Canon EF lenses, modern lenses with ultrasonic motors are also supported. These achieve precise, low-noise and fast focusing with reduced power consumption. Based on the GMAX3265 sensor from Gpixel, the cameras offer a dynamic range of 66 dB. A compact optical format with a diagonal of 37 mm is achieved by a small pixel size of 3.2 µm. The minimum exposure time is 19 µs.

The range of functions includes multi-ROI, shading correction, HDR, precise time synchronisation according to IEEE 1588 or direct control of lighting without an external controller. In addition, a robust M12 connector, IP65 and IP67 protection and a temperature range from -30 °C to 60 °C.

According to the manufacturer, the 10 GigE cameras of the LX series are the ideal choice for demanding inspection tasks that simultaneously place high demands on image capture detail and throughput.
