High-performance laser diode driver

The trend toward stacked single-emitter laser diodes with increasing current and voltage requirements leads to a  higher demand for powerful drivers. The LDDP-30-125 from Schulz-Electronic is intended for applications involving long strings of high-power single-emitter laser diodes and voltages up to 125 V. The driver provides an output voltage of up to 125 V and a current of 30 A, with higher power ratings available on request.
The highly integrated buck/boost converter delivers 3600 W of power in a compact 180 x 70 x 28 mm³ package, resulting in a power density of more than 10 W/cm³. The driver operates from standard 48 V(DC) power supplies. All signal inputs and outputs (USB, RS485, analog) are fully isolated. For higher power requirements, multiple units can be operated in parallel as power sources without the need for complex load distribution.
Laser diode drivers are specifically designed for the reliable and precise operation of laser diodes. They enable accurate current control, ensure safe pulse modulation, and guarantee optimal laser diode performance while protecting against thermal or electrical overload.
